A great spot to try if you like sours, stouts, and sunshine!! They have a nice outdoor space with picnic tables and a mix of shady spots and ones with direct sunlight. They also have a few high top barrels to put your drinks on along with a cornhole set up. Their own food truck was available at 4pm on the Saturday we visited, but we didn't get to try anything because we had recently eaten. The beer selection definitely leaned towards sours and stouts, but they had a few other options, as well. There was one guy working behind the bar and luckily it wasn't too crowded. We waited maybe a minute or two before he poured our beers. He was super friendly and helped to provide suggestions and samples. We loved the color of the berry seltzer, but did not love the flavor.. I'd recommend the tangerine sour, for sure!

What a fun place! We were staying at Oglebay and decided to check this place out. So glad we did! Had a wonderful time talking with owners and locals while enjoying some great beer! If you're in the area definitely stop in. We will be back next time we are in the area!

Great pet friendly brewery. They sell bagged pretzels but that's all. They have food trucks certain days and allow you to bring food with you. You can even have it delivered from some local places. We're more of a seltzer fan and they've mastered the seltzer flavors. Our favorite so far has been grape but they've had Tang, Pineapple, Fruit Punch and others. You can always sample anything you want before you buy a glass of it. Everyone is always friendly and welcoming there. Definitely stop by if you're in the area.

Best IPAs and sours in the area, arguably the best sours anywhere. They're peanut butter porters really good too, it seems like there's always something new on their tap list. Support this local brewery, you won't be disappointed is the best beer around!

I've been seeing people post online for quite a while about Hightower. I would have gone sooner but it's and hour and fifteen minutes one way for me. They seem to specialize in several different styles and from what I hear do all well. Their sours, IPA's and stouts are what they seem to be known most for. I did try a sour there yesterday and enjoyed it. The others I bought and tried were all NEIPA's. They did these quite well. I would go more often if it weren't so far. It is a decent little space, bet it's much nicer in warmer months. Definitely use you GPS to get here. It has some steep switchbacks to get to it. Yet another reason to never drink and drive as it would be disastrous.

What a great place! Can't say enough about the couple that run this place!! Very friendly and informative! They have something for everyone! The Hilltop Blues is great! The hubby loved the Coffee Stout and Yama Yama Yama! The outside area was a nice surprise.. food truck on hand was Rubbin Butts!! Pretty good eats!! Only thing I would like to be different.... more comfortable bar stools I know I could have moved to a table but.... we were enjoying the conversation at the bar!! To sum this all up.... we are probably going to be frequent patrons!!! Can't wait to taste the new flavors coming up!! If you haven't been here yet...your missing out!!

Hightower is a very good hard to find brewery. It's worth finding it. They have a good variety. A few are kind of hoppy. There's also many that are sweet. It doesn't look like a brewery. It's attached to the side of the owners' house. This is homemade quite literally. For such a small place they have a lot of beer. The newest was the Cherry Pie Sour. I don't like sweet beer that much, but it was pretty good. It's about $5 for a pint. They also have some harder styles. It has a bar in the garage. It has a little shed where you can sit at a few tables and play games. They are working on a new building that will open up this year.
